We didn’t
make any many changes to the food production. It was already sustainable enough
in 2000. The only thing we did was that we reduced the amount of production in
equal amounts from each type of food. We did this so that water wasn’t over
used and so that not a lot of waste is made.
We reduced
the amount of water usage greatly by evening the consumption out and without
any facility using a lot of water. The most water a facility is using will be
0.787 km3, compared to hundred years before which was 3.361 km3.
We increased the source of surface water
greatly because there are rivers and lakes in Belgrade that could be used as
water sources. Wells could also be built to extract water sources. We didn’t change
the source of precipitation because there was plenty as a source and it can
always be used.
We increased the amount of geothermal
energy and we also increased the amount of hydropower so that Belgrade can be
even more sustainable. Coal and Oil are still not used because it damages the environment.
Also, the amount of Natural gas has been decreased so that it cannot pollute
the environment.
The
amount of industrial energy consumption has been reduced, the less energy
factories consume, the less pollution it makes. Every other facility consumes
the same, it was sustainable enough a hundred years before it, or in other
words, 2005.
Municipal Solid Waste has been greatly decreased
because of the less food produced and the less water and energy consumed.
Industries still make the same level of waste because of all the products that
have to be made into the city.
